Last weekend five friends (French, Joe, Alan G., Laup and Iron “PBrozl” Maiden) from all over England came to Hamburg, on Sunday they visited me in my studio. I finally gave French a zine which contains four pages with draings i did while i visited him last year, so here you can see French with portrait drawings i did of him. Come back soon! The Labskaus 2009 – Hamburg City Skate Tour took place yesterday and it was a great to be a part of it. So many skaters met and loads of crazy tricks were going on at the 5 city spots. The police came only at one spot, and canceled our longest power slide contest after 20 minutes of flatspotting the wheels. Massive thanks to Martin Danker for the organisation, all Skaters who joined us and our sponsors for making this local contest possible. See you in 2010!

Labskaus Citytour Skate Contest 2007 – Poster

This is the poster i did for our local Labskaus skatecontest in 2007. I just work on the new Poster for 2009, so i thought i upload the last one. In 2008 there was no Labskaus contest because our friend Martin Danker, who is the man behind the contest, was skating upside down in New Zealand, his country of residence for one year. Now he is back and yes, Labskaus 2009 is happening!

Peter Sempel – DANDY Poster

Today i got a studio visit from Peter Sempel, a filmmaker from Hamburg. Peter is a good one, he came to my 30th birthday party without knowing me, he made me a present, a signed Dvd with a self colored cover of his film DANDY. He is currently filming on a film about art, i showed him some of my paintings and drawings while he was drinking coffee, eating apple cake and filmed around. His movie DANDY is a music film, a crazy collage, characterized by desire and a romantic of far away places mixed with references to music and the time where the film was made. All together, Dandy is really unmissable. Go and try to see it. No, its not fully on youtube (maybe parts) or easy to get somewhere in the www, but try to see it anyway. Also Peter made a documentary about Lemmy Kilmister, the singer of the band Motörhead. Peter is a genius too in doing his movie posters by himself, so i got two of his posters for DANDY today, you can see one of them on the picture. See the posters, photos, filmography and other things on his very own website Peter Sempel
